The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) is pleased to announce the commencement of the 2017 edition of its annual Essay Competition, the NSE Essay Competition for Nigerian students.




The NSE Annual Essay Competition and Scholarship, themed “Building a Sustainable Capital Market“, is one of the Exchange’s financial literacy and inclusion initiatives aimed at building a financially savvy generation.
IMPORTANT! Currently, Nigerian Stock Exchange Competition/Scholarship 2017 is not yet available online, DISREGARD any form of advert you come across. This page will be updated immediately the form is out.
Every year, applications are invited from qualified Nigerian students for the NSE Essay Competition and Scholarship. The 15th edition of this annual Essay Competition (i.e. the 2016 Essay Competition) is now open to receive applications.

Competition Eligibility

a). The Competition is open to students in Senior Secondary Schools ONLY.
b). Rules for participating in the NSE Essay Competition:
  1. The Competition is open to only students in Senior Secondary Schools
  2. Entries must be written in English and be the original work of the writer
  3. Entrants must submit essay on the competitions entry form and complete all the mandatory fields.
  4. Maximum word-count is 1000 words
  5. Entries will be disqu​alified if they fail to meet these requirements
c). Notes for Guidance:
  • Entries must be the original work of the writer. This does not rule out input or assistance from others
  • Entrants are encouraged to be creative in their response to the topic​
  • Award-winning entrants are expected to show originality, focus on topic and competent use of English as a written language. This includes correct spelling, a good standard of punctuation and neat presentation

Method of Application

Interested and qualified applicants should download the 2016 Essay Competition Form from the official website. Applicants should send in their completed entry form/essay via e-mail to: essay@nse.com.ng. Or, submit their essay online via the official Facebook page:www.facebook.com/TheNigerianStockExchange (active link is below).
